FSP one’s new water treatment station is making waves!
Commissioned at the beginning of 2025, the new water treatment station at FSP one has already received two major recognitions, highlighting the company’s investment in the environment and in a more responsible industry.

The project earned the “Bourbre Entreprise Environnement” label as the winner of the category “efficient use of energy and natural resources.” The award was presented on December 2, 2025, during an official ceremony attended by institutional representatives and local elected officials.
The station also received support from the French Water Agency, with a subsidy of €356,000, acknowledging the relevance of the technical choices, the project’s environmental ambition, and the concrete results achieved.
A zero-discharge station, a key component of a sustainable industrial future
The performance speaks for itself. Between January and November 2025, the station already saved 1,000 m³ of water, with no discharge into the river. As a result, the French Regional Directorate for Environment, Planning and Housing monitoring related to discharge was removed.
Since the water is now recycled on site, FSP one significantly reduces consumption despite the addition of water-intensive equipment (gas scrubber, adiabatic coolers, etc.). The company is expected to close the year around 5,500 m³ consumed, compared to 9,500 m³ in 2022.
The station continues to gain momentum. After a necessary learning period, its performance will continue to improve in 2026.
🗣 With hindsight, we can really see how the design choices made during the project were the right ones, even though water was not yet a national concern the way it is today.
Bérengère Gay, EHS Coordinator
🗣 We are reducing water consumption, which is becoming an increasingly scarce resource.
Anaïs Forot, Head of Upstream Operations
🗣 At FSP one, a true environmental approach has been taking shape for several years now to improve the quality of our atmospheric and water emissions. It is truly motivating to work for a company that acts for its local environment, which is also ours. Congratulations to everyone who worked on the project, and thank you from the birds and fish of Pont-de-Chéruy 🙂
